1334.64 Department to serve as primary point of contact for LiDAR procurement.—Notwithstanding s. 20.255(9), the department shall serve as the primary point of contact for statewide topographic aerial LiDAR procurement and cost-sharing related to statewide geographic information systems and geospatial data sharing. The department may provide these services to other state and local governmental entities by entering into an interagency agreement consistent with chapter 216. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, including any charter, ordinance, statute, or special law, all state agencies and local governmental entities conducting programs or exercising powers relating to topographic aerial LiDAR mapping are authorized to enter into an interagency agreement with the department for the provision by the department of topographic aerial LiDAR procurement and cost-sharing services, and to delegate authority to conduct programs or exercise powers relating to topographic aerial LiDAR procurement and cost-sharing services to the department pursuant to such interagency agreements. The department may adopt rules to implement this section. This section expires July 1, 2027.
