F.S. 633.5341633.5341 False, fictitious, or fraudulent acts, statements, and representations prohibited; penalty; statute of limitations.—(1) A firefighter employer who knowingly and willfully falsifies or conceals a material fact, who makes a false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement or representation, or who makes or uses any false document knowing the document to contain any false, fictitious, or fraudulent entry or statement to an insurer of workers’ compensation insurance under this part commits a misdemeanor of the second degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082 or s. 775.083. (2) A person may not, in any matter within the jurisdiction of the division, knowingly and willfully falsify or conceal a material fact; make any false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement or representation; or make or use any false document, knowing the same to contain any false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement or entry. A person who violates this section commits a misdemeanor of the second degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082 or s. 775.083. The statute of limitations for prosecution of an act committed in violation of this section is 5 years after the date the act was committed or, if not discovered within 30 days after the act was committed, 5 years after the date the act was discovered.
