ARTICLE 2 TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION

15-14-28. Certificate required.

No person shall engage in the practice of verbatim court reporting in this state unless the person is the holder of a certificate as a certified court reporter or is the holder of a temporary permit issued under this article.

OPINIONS OF THE ATTORNEY GENERAL

Regulating verbatim court reporting in federal judicial system within state.

- With the exception of official federal court reporters, the Board of Court Reporting of the Judicial Council of Georgia has authority to regulate the practice of verbatim court reporting for use in the federal courts within the State of Georgia pursuant to O.C.G.A. §§ 15-14-22 and15-14-28. 1986 Op. Att'y Gen. No. 86-27.
