Section 7. State Courts of Counties, 15-7-1 through 15-7-85.

ARTICLE 1 GENERAL PROVISIONS

15-7-1. "State court" defined.

As used in this chapter, the term "state court" shall mean any court created pursuant to the provisions of this chapter or any court continued as a state court by Article VI, Section X of the Constitution of the State of Georgia.

Jurisdiction of recorder's courts over misdemeanor traffic offenses.

- Under the 1983 Georgia Constitution, the recorder's courts continue to possess limited jurisdiction over state misdemeanor traffic offenses until otherwise provided by law. Wojcik v. State, 260 Ga. 260, 392 S.E.2d 525 (1990).
