ARTICLE 9 GEORGIA MILITARY COLLEGE

20-3-561. Management vested in the board of trustees.

The government, control, and management of the Georgia Military College shall be vested in the Board of Trustees of the Georgia Military College. The Georgia Military College shall receive any designated funds appropriated by the General Assembly through the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia or the Technical College System of Georgia. In the budgeting and expenditure of such designated funds, the Board of Trustees of the Georgia Military College shall provide annually to the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia or the Technical College System of Georgiacopies of budgetary requests submitted by the Georgia Military College to the Office of Planning and Budget and copies of audit reports concerning the expenditure of such funds. Nothing in this Code section shall be construed to diminish the authority of the elected Board of Trustees of the Georgia Military College over budgetary management and expenditure of such designated funds in compliance with other provisions of state law.

OPINIONS OF THE ATTORNEY GENERAL

Georgia Military College is not a "local school system" and is ineligible to be a member of a regional educational service agency. 1997 Op. Att'y Gen. No. U97-30.
