Section 43. Commission on Men's Health, 31-43-1 through 31-43-13.

ARTICLE 2 CHILDHOOD LEAD EXPOSURE CONTROL

31-43-7. Terms of members; vacancies.

  1. The initial members of the commission who are members of the General Assembly shall serve for initial terms of office which expire December 31, 2000. Thereafter, those members of the commission who are members of the General Assembly shall serve for terms of office of two years each. Members of the commission who are not members of the General Assembly shall serve for terms of office of three years each. Members of the commission shall serve for the terms of office specified in this Code section and until their respective successors are appointed and qualified. Members of the commission may be reappointed to the commission upon the expiration of their terms of office if they otherwise continue to meet the qualifications for such office.
  2. If a vacancy occurs in the membership of the commission, the elected official who appointed the member to the position which became vacant shall appoint a successor for the remainder of the unexpired term and until a successor is appointed and qualified.
