As used in this chapter, the term: (1) “Board” means the Board of Community Supervision. (2) “Commissioner” means the commissioner of community supervision. (3) “Community supervision officer” means an individual employed by DCS who supervises probationers or parolees. (4) “DCS” means the Department of Community Supervision. (5) “Split sentence” means any felony sentence that includes a term of imprisonment followed by a term of probation.
