O.C.G.A. § 43-8-3 (2019)
Applicability of chapter to billiard rooms operated by religious orders, charitable institutions, and clubs
This chapter shall not apply to billiard tables or billiard rooms operated by private industrial concerns, Young Men’s Christian Associations, religious orders, charitable institutions, state, county, or city institutions, fraternal orders, or bona fide clubs using such tables for members or employees only.

Editor’s notes. Ga. L. 1990, p. 1916, § 2, not codified by the General Assembly, provides: “Unless specifically prohibited by the provisions of
Chapter 8 of Title 43 as revised, reenacted, and set forth in Section 1 of this Act, existing regulations imposed upon billiard rooms by local ordinances or resolutions in existence on the effective date of this Act shall remain in effect.” This Act became effective July 1, 1990.
