The department shall require that all electronic benefits transfer cards which include food stamp benefits contain a photograph of one or more members of a household who are authorized to use such food stamp benefits. The department is authorized to promulgate regulations necessary to implement the provisions of this Code section.

Code 1981, § 49-4-21, enacted by Ga. L. 2014, p. 844, § 1/HB 772; Ga. L. 2023, p. 730, § 6(a)(3)/HB 475, effective July 1, 2023.

The 2023 amendment, effective July 1, 2023, part of an Act to revise, modernize, and correct the Code, deleted the subsection (a) designation and deleted subsection (b), which read: “This Code

section shall become effective on January 1, 2016.”
