CONSTITUTION OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA

ARTICLE I. BILL OF RIGHTS

Paragraph VI. Libel.

In all civil or criminal actions for libel, the truth may be given in evidence; and, if it shall appear to the trier of fact that the matter charged as libelous is true, the party shall be discharged.
