Basis for appointment of conservator for a minor

On petition and after notice, the court may appoint a conservator for a minor if the court finds by a preponderance of the evidence that the appointment is in the best interest of the minor and any of the following is true: \n Tue Dec 09 21:59:22 2025 Iowa Code 2026, Chapter 633 (154, 4) §633.554, PROBATE CODE 112\n\n 1. The minor has funds or other property requiring management or protection that otherwise cannot be provided.

2. The minor has or may have financial affairs that may be put at unreasonable risk or hindered because of the minor’s age.
