1. Money from property converted pursuant to section 904.508 shall be transmitted to the treasurer of state as soon after one year after the death of the inmate as practicable. A complete permanent record of the property, showing by whom and with whom it was left, its amount when converted to money, the date of the death of the owner, the owner’s reputed place of residence before becoming an inmate of the institution, the date on which the money was sent to the treasurer of state, and any other facts which may tend to identify the decedent\n\nTue Dec 09 21:52:30 2025 Iowa Code 2026, Chapter 904 (79, 3) 29 DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS, §904.513\n\nand explain the case, shall be kept by the superintendent of the institution, and a transcript of the record shall be sent to and kept by the treasurer of state.
