Mitchell, 672 P.2d 1 (Kan. 1983). “The court’s authority to amend a statute was granted by the legislature in K.S.A. 22-4601 (Weeks), which provides: “The supreme court shall have power to supplement or amend the provisions of this chapter insofar as they pertain to forms of process, writs, pleadings, motions and…”
