As used in KRS 197.505 to 197.525, unless the context otherwise requires: (1) "Adult correctional facility" means any minimum or medium adult penal or correctional facility operated for the purpose of housing convicted felons for the department; and (2) "Private provider" means a private legal entity authorized to do business in the Commonwealth and which is in the business of establishing, operating, and managing adult correctional facilities.
