The sheriff shall, by himself or deputy, convey all persons to the penitentiary or juvenile facility condemned to confinement therein, and execute the sentence of the court in other criminal and penal cases. But the court may order the coroner or jailer to act in the place of the sheriff in the discharge of those duties. Effective: July 15, 1998 History: Amended 1998 Ky.
