Definitions

When used in this chapter, the term—(1) “Secretary” means the Secretary of State.(2) “Department” means the Department of State.(3) “Government agency” means any executive department, board, bureau, commission, or other agency of the Federal Government, or independent establishment, or any corporation wholly owned (either directly or through one or more corporations) by the United States.(Jan. 27, 1948, ch. 36, title I, § 4, 62 Stat. 6.)
