2014In Morrissey v. Brewer, 408 U.S. 471, 485-87 , 92 S. Ct. 2593, 2602-03 (1972), the United States Supreme Court held that at the preliminary parole-revocation hearing, a parolee is entitled to notice of the alleged parole violations, an opportunity to appear and to present evidence, a conditional right to confront the government’s witnesses, an independent decision-maker, and a written report of the hearing.
